Chicago, gettin carded and the Tut exhibit

This weekend was off to Chicago to see Rob and Ashleys new apartment and get to visit with them and Sharon.
We totally lucked out this time and the weather was in the 70's and the sun was shining - maybe that was to make
up for freezing us out when we went in Feb and it being sooo hot when I went in June.

Fri nite we went to see "Wicked" - the show was great - quite a twist on the original plot - and I would recommend it
to anyone.  The seats , unfortunately , were worse than the smallest coach seats that I have seen on an airplane.  Rob suggests that anyone
who goes buy "First Class" :)

Sat morning dawned bright and beautiful and it was off for a walk to the "Original Pancake House" for bkfst - most of the
menu was NOT on my diet - but hey we had walked there after all.  This was followed by a long walk around the University of Chicago Campus and , of coure ,  a mandatory  bookstore visit for souveniers.  While there we ran into one of Robs future law school professors and I had an interesting chat with her.  Luckily he no longer embarresses easily

Due to a last minute change in plans,  the 4 of us ( Dave and I and Rob and Ashley) were to join Sharon at a birthday party that night at Dave and Busters.  Turns out that for every 4 people under the age of 21 ,  a person over the age of 25 is necessary to let them in.  So Dave and I were to be "responsible" for 8 20 yrs olds.  Sure - no problem.  They actually carded us.  That was , of course , the highlight of the entire night for me .

Next - the Field Museum and the Tut exhibit
